Attack Attack! (American Band)
Attack Attack! is an American metalcore band from Westerville, Ohio, originally formed in 2007 as Ambiance, later changing their name. Attack Attack!'s first release, an independent EP titled ''If Guns Are Outlawed, Can We Use Swords?'', was released in 2007, which led to the signing of the band to Rise Records the same year. They released three full-length albums, '' Someday Came Suddenly'', a self-titled album, and '' This Means War'' all through Rise Records. The band left Rise Records in 2012 and disbanded the following year after a farewell tour. On October 19, 2020, the band announced a re-formation, with a mix of returning and new members. ''Attack Attack!'' (released as ''Attack Attack! (US)'' in the UK) is the second studio album by American metalcore band Attack Attack! It was released on June 8, 2010, through Rise Records. It was produced by Joey Sturgis. The album was initially titled ''"Shazam!"'', but due to copyright issues, it was self-titled. It is the first album to feature Caleb Shomo on lead vocals, replacing former lead vocalist Nick Barham who had replaced original lead vocalist Austin Carlile but had not recorded an album with the band. It is also the final album to include former clean vocalist and rhythm guitarist Johnny Franck. It peaked at number 26 on the '' Billboard'' 200, as well as topping the Independent Albums chart and peaking within the Alternative, Rock, and Digital Album charts. It received mixed reviews from music critics, with praise generated around the album's heavier tracks and negativity directed toward the electronicore and electropop songs. Attack! Attack! were a Welsh rock band from Caerphilly and Aberdare, formed in 2006. They released their self-titled debut album in 2008, with a second album '' The Latest Fashion'' released on 27 September 2010 through Hassle Records. Their third album, ''Long Road to Nowhere'', was announced for a 1 April 2013 release, and this was later confirmed to be their final release. The band played a farewell April/May headliner in 2013 and then split. Peter Shelley ( Peter Alexander Southworth; 28 February 1943 – 23 March 2023) was a British pop singer, songwriter, and music business executive. As a performer in the 1970s, he had UK hits with "Gee Baby" and "Love Me Love My Dog". He also originated the persona of Alvin Stardust, writing, singing and producing the first single released under that name, "My Coo Ca Choo". After another singer, Shane Fenton, took over as Alvin Stardust, Shelley continued to write and produce hit songs for him, including "Jealous Mind" and " You You You". Shelley was also the co-founder of Magnet Records. Career Born in London, Shelley entered the British music industry in 1965, working initially as a song plugger with the music publisher, Chappell & Co. Marty Wilde
Marty Wilde, (born Reginald Leonard Smith; 15 April 1939) is an English singer and songwriter. He was among the first generation of British pop stars to emulate American rock and roll, scoring several 1950s hit singles including "Endless Sleep", "Sea of Love" and " Bad Boy". During the 1960s and 1970s, Wilde continued to record and, with Ronnie Scott, co-wrote hit singles for others including the Casuals' "Jesamine" and Status Quo's "Ice in the Sun". He is the father of pop singer Kim Wilde and co-wrote many of her hit singles including "Kids in America" with his son Ricky. He continues to perform and record. Career Wilde was born in Blackheath, London. He was performing under the name Reg Patterson at London's Condor Club in 1957, when he was spotted by impresario Larry Parnes.
